Just the other day the “Mechromancer” DLC character was released about a week earlier than we were originally told. Today Gearbox announced that on October 16th the “Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty” DLC will be released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. This is the first of four campaign DLC packs intended for Borderlands 2; you will be able to get this pack by itself for $9.99/800 Microsoft Points or as part of the Season Pass for Borderlands 2 which is available for $29.99 or 2,400 Microsoft Points.
We currently have no information about what this campaign will be about or include. I’m sure we can assume more chances to loot people and crates. Once we do find out more information, we’ll be sure to update you with it!
Earlier we had informed you that the Mechromancer DLC would be available on October 16th in the US and the UK on October 16th. It seems that Gearbox Software decided to pull a fast one on us all and release it yesterday. You can access the Mechromancer DLC through the “Downloadable Content” menu of Borderlands 2; it still costs the 800 Microsoft Points as before or is free if you are part the Premier Club.
It would also help to download the Compatibility Pack in order to play co-op online as there might be some differences between players in a game and the host of the game with the new DLC. This pack however, is free to everyone that wishes to download it.
It’s been awhile since the Xbox Live Arcade received a quality puzzle game for all ages. In 2011 the call for more puzzle games was answered with Mercury Hg. A sequel to PSP title “Mercury Meltdown”, Mercury Hg adds many new features as well as raising the bar for puzzle games to come.
Mercury Hg offers something new for puzzle games. While you might consider it to be difficult, it is far from it. For in Mercury Hg, you don’t move the Mercury blob; you tilt the map so the mercury rolls around. Along the way you’ll encounter sharp arrowhead blocks into which you can split your mercury into smaller blobs, as well as Magnets and Anti-Magnets (Attract and Repulse respectively) and colour fountains, in which you can colour your blob to hit certain switches, access certain areas, or mix with other colours (This is where those smaller blobs come in) to get a whole new color. It all comes together to form a memorable experience which is great for all ages, yet offers a challenge for those dedicated enough to pound through the first 90 elements on the periodic table.
