I feel like we haven’t talked since last year
Greetings and salutations, dear reader, and welcome to the first Bulletin of 2013. I wanted to write you an eloquently penned introduction, full of cleverly-crafted phrases intended to evoke emotional responses relevant to the recent warm and festive holiday season, except I couldn’t remember the name of the traditional party favor typically used during celebratory occasions. So I opened up my favorite search engine, typed in “things you blow at parties”, and proceeded to get lost in the deepest, darkest depths of the intertubes. Thankfully I wasn’t truly alone, because after a few weeks of operating at partial capacity, 343 as a collective entity is officially back and running full steam ahead into the anxiously awaiting arms of the New Year. Major Nelson, Xbox LIVE’s Director of Programming, has posted up a countdown to the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013, an event in which big companies like Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, etc, reveal projects they have been working on for many years.
Gamespot posted another video up on their website today which showed off all three Forge environments shipping with Halo 4 on November 6th.
The first one being shown is the yet to be seen environment known as Erosion, which is home to the Grifball court shown back at RTX 2012.
The second being yesterdays reveal, Impact, an environment set in space on what looks like a debris field.
The third one, which was shown back at RTX 2012 fully, is Ravine.

Gamespot just posted this video up on their website, which reveals a brand new Forge environment called Impact, which is one of the three Forge environments with Forge in Halo 4.
After today’s reveal, there is only one more Forge environment to be revealed, Ravine was revealed back at RTX 2012.

As the number of weeks begin to move into single digits for Halo 4’s release on November 6th, more and more information about the game has been trickling out on 343 Industries main website.
Usually every Wednesday, the community manager releases a Weekly Bulletin filled with Halo news, last week we got all the inside scoops on the soundtrack for Halo 4, this week, it is all about the Controller Layouts, they are all returning fan favourites, as well as a new one named Fishstick.
Some changes have been made since E3 when Bumper Jumper featured the ability to throw a grenade using the X button, along with other changes on different layouts.
With Sprint now being default in Halo 4 and no longer an Armour Ability, some of the controller layouts have been changed to make it easier for users while not changing people’s preference for the layout. Continue Reading
