Word is floating around that the Freedom Cry DLC for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will land on December 17th. At this point it is unknown if any system will receive Freedom Cry first. It will release on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Freedom Cry lets you take on the role of the Jackdaw’s quartermaster, Adewale as he continues his mission to bring freedom to the slaves of the 17th century Caribbean. As of now, no price is known but it is included for free as part of the season pass for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
According to some rather keen eyes (and maybe a quick page edit on Ubisoft’s site that someone caught) it is rumored that Black Flags will be released on October 29th of this year. We knew it was eventually going to happen, today Ubisoft teased us with some cover art for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flags. While we don’t know any solid details on the game itself; we can assume that it might feature a new protagonist, setting and timeline based on what we see in the cover art. Since it appears to have a pirate themed setting, perhaps we shall see more of the beloved sea combat that we saw in Assassin’s Creed III. Continue Reading
