Halo: Spartan Assault
Finally the day has arrived when you can play some Halo on the move. This comes in the form of Halo: Spartan Assault that we have previously covered. At last, you can now pick it up from the marketplace and start playing!
For Windows Phone it is priced at £5.49/$6.99 and you can grab it here.
For Windows 8/RT it is priced at £4.99/$6.99 and you can grab it here.
Some points to note:
- Game progress will continue seamlessly between both devise but you will need to buy both versions.
- Currently the WP version is exclusive to Verizon in the US (only) and will be available to all US customers after 30 days (sucks I know
- This available for Windows Phone 8 handsets only (sorry 7.x folks) and only to those that have 1GB RAM, though 512MB RAM devices will get support in August.
This past weekend at Rooster Teeth’s annual convention (RTX) 343 Industries unveiled and showcased the next pieces of DLC for last years Halo 4. It will feature two new maps, a new gametype, several new skins for weapons, new armor pieces, and stances for your Spartan ID.
Being shown first were two new maps in the Bullseye Pack, Vertigo and Pitfall. With Pitfall being introduced it also marked the return of Halo 3’s The Pit.
Today, 343 Industries, Xbox 360, and Virgin Gaming teamed up to bring Halo players across the world a brand new tournament during the summer. The tournament will span across multiple live events and feature five weeks worth of head-to-head matches on Xbox LIVE. Kicking off with the annual Rooster Teeth Expo (RTX) down in Austin, Texas on July 5th. Then on July 15th, the Xbox LIVE portion will begin where participants will compete in free-for-all matches for a qualifying spot. Continue Reading
Halo: Spartan Assault comes to Windows 8 and Phone 8
For years now everyone with a Windows Phone has been asking for a Halo game to play on the move and now their prayers have been answered in the form of a top-down halo game.
Releasing in July it won’t be long for Windows 8 PC and Windows Phone 8 users to enjoy a little Spartan action on the go.
