If you have been anxiously awaiting DLC for Bioshock Infinite, rejoice! Today Irrational Games unveiled two new pieces of DLC, one of which is being released today.
Clash in the Clouds places a large focus on Infinite’s combat with an idea similar to Horde mode. It will also feature four all new environments and add in 60 “Blue Ribbon” challenges. By completing these challenges you will unlock items ranging from Voxophones, Kinetoscopes, and even concept art to view in the Columbian Archeological Society.
This add-on is being rolled out to everyone today, but may take a few days to be released on every platform and in every region. It will sell for 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99. It is also included as part of the Season Pass; if you have the Season Pass make sure you download this via the in-game store as to not be charged for it.
Also announced today was the first part of what might be an episodic adventure with Burial at Sea.
Come back to Rapture in a story that brings Booker and Elizabeth to the underwater city on the eve of its fall from grace. Developed by Irrational Games, the developer of the original BioShock and BioShock Infinite, this DLC features Rapture as you’ve never seen it before—a shining jewel at the bottom of the ocean, built almost entirely from scratch in the BioShock Infinite engine. Gameplay has been modified to give the player an original BioShock combat experience that merges the best parts of BioShock and BioShock Infinite: new weapons, new Plasmids/Vigors, Tears, Sky-Lines, and Big Daddies.
This DLC will be part of the Season Pass, however as of now we do not know a release date or price for this add-on.
