According to some rather keen eyes (and maybe a quick page edit on Ubisoft’s site that someone caught) it is rumored that Black Flags will be released on October 29th of this year. Eurogamer.net also made mention that this quick insight into some details of the game made a small hint that it could be released on Sony and Microsoft’s next-gen consoles.
Ubisoft officially announced the game yesterday, stating it would be released on the PC, PS3, 360 and Wii U. The cover art for the PS3 version of the game shows that they will receive an extra 60 minutes of gameplay. The game will supposedly be set in an 18th century Caribbean and will star the father of Haytham and grandfather of Connor. His day job consists of being an assassin, privateer and his hobby is being an occasional pirate.
We hope that with this new character and setting we get to visiti many places throughout the caribbean and perhaps the entire world. Plus how it will expand on the naval combat scenes that were introduced with ACIII.
