It’s been ten years since the launch of Xbox LIVE and the service is bigger and better than ever and booming with entertainment and games. “Halo 4” has been smashing entertainment industry numbers and Microsoft just announced Xbox LIVE registered the most time spent on the service ever with 442 million hours in a one week period (Nov 6-13).

Earlier this week, we heard from MajorNelson via his twitter that Xbox LIVE was 10 years old and that some veteran gamers since the start whose tenure has turned its double figures would be receiving a limited edition extremely rare Xbox is 10 360 ‘S’ model console.
Now with one of our very own writers being a founding member all those years ago, we were pretty excited to think that a limited console may be on its way to him, and also that a competition was going to be underway to win one of these consoles for those of us that jumped on the wagon a few years down the line. unfortunately after many UK twitter fans wanting more information on this amazing prize Graeme Boyd aka AceyBongos Xbox UK’s Social Marketing Manager, Xbox EMEA apologised that the competition is only valid in the United States of America. Over the past week, millions of you have been glued to screens full of sprinting super-soldiers and delicately dipping Mantises. While I’ve been glued to a screen as well, mine shows a slightly different picture. You see my monitor – or, to be more specific, room full of monitors – show me what you’re doing. I’ve been watching what playlists you’re frequenting (go Infinity Slayer!), what forum threads you’re reading (decrypting the encrypted), and what parts of the website you’re browsing (dem Halo 4 stats). I can see a lot more than that, but I’ll stop there as I don’t want to frighten you. #retreatsbackintothebushes
