Yesterday Ubisoft released a trailer showing off some of the new naval warfare combat. No actual gameplay footage was shown, but it does show us the beautiful CG animation that we’ve come to expect from Assassin’s Creed trailers.
The trailer starts off by quoting George Washington;
“Without a decisive naval force we can do nothing definitive, and with it, everything honorable and glorious.”
Then it changes to a scene showing our new favorite Assassin, Connor, overlooking a shipyard. Then bam! Switches to him on a ship in possibly a Captain’s uniform. It also shows a bunch of other dudes preparing this ship to set sail. Then after showing some ship-to-ship combat, you’re suddenly part of a boarding party. After you’ve boarded the ship and have killed a few more dudes, you then proceed to blow the ship up; in a quite spectacular way I might add. Here’s the trailer:
I am extremely curious to see how this naval combat will fit into what has already been established for combat. Assassin’s Creed III drops on October 30th for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC systems.
